DAY 1 – Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to Hotel 9 Ulaanbaatar (or your chosen accommodation), conveniently located in the heart of the city near Chinggis Khaan Square. By day’s end, all riders will have fitted their gear, attended a safety briefing, and prepared for an early departure from Ulaanbaatar the following morning. The evening will feature a welcome dinner for all participants.
DAY 2 – Baga Gazar Rocks
Prepare to be amazed by the stunning granite formations of Baga Gazariin Chuluu, which translates to “stone of the little place.” Nestled in the northwest of Dundgovi province at an elevation of 1,751 meters, these formations create a granite canyon that rises dramatically from the steppe, with erosion sculpting the cliff faces over time.
DAY 3 – White Stupa
Get ready for an exhilarating day! Once submerged beneath the ocean, this escarpment resembles a white stupa, giving rise to its name, Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa). This striking white limestone formation stretches 400 meters, uniquely shaped by millennia of wind and water erosion. After rainfall, the cascading water creates the illusion of a massive waterfall.
DAY 4 – Ongi Monastery
The monastery's location is breathtaking, nestled in the mountains of the Gobi Desert along the Ongi River. Once a major religious center, Ongi Monastery housed over 1,000 monks across four institutions at its peak. Experience beautiful hikes that offer stunning views from the summit of this sacred mountain.
DAY 5 – Sand Dunes
Elsen Tasarkhai forms part of the Mongol Els sand dunes, extending 80 kilometers long and 5 kilometers wide. Situated about 80 kilometers east of Karakorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia, this area features not only expansive sand dunes but also hills adorned with rare shrubs and small patches of Gobi forest. This remarkable location blends the beauty of Mongolian mountains, forests, stunning sand dunes, and a river crossing into one unique experience.
DAY 6 – Hustai National Park
Our journey will lead us to Hustai National Park, established as a national park in 1993 for the reintroduction of the Przewalski’s Horse. Covering over 50,000 hectares, we’ll set up camp near stunning rock formations. Along the way, we’ll visit a nomadic family, gaining insight into their traditional way of life, which has remained largely unchanged for centuries.
DAY 7 – Ulaanbaatar
After returning to Ulaanbaatar, you’ll have a brief break to freshen up at your hotel. If you wish, there will be an opportunity for some cashmere shopping before we gather at the city's finest hot pot restaurant for a farewell dinner. For those with energy to spare, we’ll explore Ulaanbaatar’s vibrant nightlife and show you the best spots.
DAY 8 – Departure
On departure day, we will escort you to the airport. Wishing you a safe flight, we hope to see you again on one of our future adventures!
